Replica steel two masted american 1870 gaff rigged schooner. Designed by Nick Branson. Built by gold water boats of Ipswich, a class A 60 mile offshore capability. This vessel, based on an american sharpshooter, was fast for its time and was used for fishing and smuggling. It was unstable and had an extreamly long bowsprit, commonly called a widow maker. The Dauntless was built circa 1870 and was lost in a storm with all hands.
