Gerda Gefle is a replica of the former cargo brig Gerda that sailed between 1869-1930 under Swedish flag. After her years of duty she was docked as a museum at Gävle Sweden where she was built. The original Gerda was let to slowly rot and lastly she was destroyed in late 1950’s.

The original Gerda was let to slowly rot and lastly she was destroyed in late 1950’s. The replica Gerda Gefle was built as a joint effort between 1995-2005. The Finnish sailing charter company Fregatti purchased her in 2010.
Gerda Gefle is the largest operating sailing vessel in Finland and the only square rigged vessel sailing under a Finnish flag.
